Welcome to the new beachfront home for the WND&WVS community of passionate watermen & women. This is the Burlington Surf Club.
We hope you'll join us.
The BSC is located in Burlington's south end on the campus of Hula Lakeside hulalakeside.com. Until the summer of 2018, this pristine piece of waterfront real estate was only accessible to factory employees. With its long sandy beach and expansive shady lawn, the convenience and experience of accessing Lake Champlain couldn't be better. Multiple post and beam storage barns are on site to house an extensive line-up of top- of-the-line equipment for paddlers and windsurfers of all levels. Guests will check in daily with our staff and enjoy access to changing rooms and storage lockers before beginning their day on the beach. Come down to sit in the sand, spread out on the lawn, jump in the lake, catch the sunset, or participate in a daily schedule of activities both on and off the water.
May 4th–May 24th: 10:00am–6:00pm every day
May 25th–June 14th: 10:00am–6:00pm every day
June 15th-Labor Day 8:00am-8:00pm every day
Lifeguards will be posted from 10am-6pm Sat & Sun from mid-June through Labor Day.
Off season equipment rentals/lessons/tours will be available by appointment
Season pass holders storing personal boards on site will have access during off hours with outdoor storage racks and individual locking systems.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 12-18 are welcome at BSC during open hours without adult supervision. There will be lifeguards on duty from 1pm-6pm weekdays, and 10am-5pm on the weekends. Looking for something for your child to do in the morning? Consider enrolling them in one of our ½ day week long windsurfing/paddling camps.
Blodgett Ovens will transition to Hula during the 2019 season so workday parking on site will be shared with construction operations. BSC is located on the waterfront bike path, so both season and day pass holders are encouraged to ride bikes to the club to avoid any workday parking issues.
Access to Burlington’s newest lakeside sandy beach, convenient parking, huge lawn with shady trees, volleyball courts, picnic tables, lifeguards, and guaranteed good times are just a few of the benefits of joining the Burlington Surf Club. In addition, everything you need to play on the lake will be right at your fingertips with discounted pricing on rental equipment.
Not interested in signing up for the entire season? No problem. Come on down any day you like to sit on the beach, spread out on the grass, read a book, rent a paddle board, or just check out the action. This is also the perfect option for all you tourists/vacationers who are enjoying Burlington for a short time before having to head back home. Day passes do not include discounts for classes and rentals.
As a community, we're all very fortunate to have the great Lake Champlain right in our backyard. We believe that when you learn to enjoy what the lake has to offer, you'll gain a stronger sense of purpose to keep it clean and safe. Our goal is to get you out on the water as much as possible so that you feel and experience the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle. Here are just some of the many standing weekly activities you can sign up and participate in while enjoying your day at the beach. Check wndnwvs.com/play for class registration information.
Paddleboards and windsurfers from the top brands in the industry are available for rent everyday. Members receive discounted rental pricing with an option to reserve equipment in advance. Have an extra hour at lunch? With on-site lockers and dressing rooms, we've made it easy to get on the water during your work day.
